Color Floor Plan Master Plan Sanctuary Interior Sanctuary Northwest

The Plan

The campus of Family Worship Center currently consists of five buildings totaling 92,561 square feet of ministry space. Based on growth analysis of 10 and 5-year intervals we will need 150,000 square feet of ministry space for the next decade. This commitment to grow will require more buildings and land for worship, prayer, community and parking!

A parking lot contiguous to our north boundary was purchased in 2009 giving us the land necessary to begin construction of a new worship space.

Our new sanctuary has been planned according to the needs of a progressive Pentecostal church. Wide aisles for prayer, expanded altars for individual ministry and wide seating for passionate worship. Balconies were eliminated to create a very intimate seating arrangement bringing every member closer to the platform. The platform will combine the open architecture of most church buildings with the more versatile “black box” design of modern theaters. This convergence of ideas will make worship more accessible for today’s trends and transitional for tomorrow’s changes.

Entry into this new sanctuary is made possible by a massive foyer with gathering spaces and exterior promenades for conversation and reflection. Glass is abundant in the design allowing natural light to influence the interior environment.

This point of entry finds nearly equal parking to its north and south causing equitable access regardless of which side you find parking. Parents with children will be given designated parking to the east side for easy access to the adjacent children’s facility. This will allow kids to be dropped off before parents enter the sanctuary foyer space.

Family Worship Center has been very blessed with a great location and a beautiful campus. Our new construction will improve our visibility in the community and maintain short driving distances for those coming from all corners of the Lakeland area. This new sanctuary also allows us to see into the coming decade and answer the call to remain faithful.
